Pahar which is famous for mountaineering training in West
Bengal. Seeing Chow Dance on the full moon light in the Ajodhya
Pahar is another unforgettable experience. The drum bits and
the steps of the Santhal females make one spell bound.
The
place is well connected by rail and road. There are three
good trains for Purulia those ply in the morning, afternoon
and night and takes around 6 hours from Kolkata. Bus services
can be availed of from the Central Bus Terminus at Kolkata
that takes around 8 hours to reach.
Good
accommodations including hotels, Private Bungalows and Govt
Tourists Lodges are available in Purulia Town , Ajodhya Pahar
and Mukutmanipur. There are forest bungalows in the forest.
