The second innings of West Indies started by Ray and

Farguson came in lieu of Walcot. When the team's score
was 32, Farguson was l.b.w. by Mankad. Ray and Wicks

also was in the verge of making world record of five
centuries in the test matches. At the end of the day
Walcot and Wicks were not out and the score of West
Indies was 123 for 3.
On the fourth day of the test match, the performance
of Walcot and Wicks was very ordinary and spiritless.
Gomez and Christiani scored 29 and 22 respectively and
showed a splendid performance. When West Indies score
was 336 for 9, Gordard declared. At this moment to win,
India had to score 411 runs in 415 minutes which was
impossible. So the excitement of the match decreased.
